  • Set up the rotary evaporator on a stable surface and connect it to a power supply.
  • Assemble the glassware, including the main glass flask and condenser, ensuring secure and leak-free connections.
  • Transfer the sample to be concentrated into the evaporating flask and add any required solvent.
  • Set the rotation speed and temperature of the water bath or heating bath to the desired levels.
  • Start the evaporation process by turning on the rotary evaporator and the heating bath or water bath.
  • Monitor the process and make adjustments to the rotation speed or temperature settings as needed.
  • Collect the condensed solvent in a receiving flask connected to the condenser outlet.
  • Regularly check the sample level and add more solvent if necessary.
  • Once the desired concentration or volume reduction is achieved, turn off the heating bath or water bath.
  • Turn off the rotary evaporator, allow it to cool down, and clean the glassware thoroughly after each use.
